Musings of a working Mom

I must confess that I only recently started reading books again. After the children were born I barely managed with magazines and reading a book just seemed so overwhelming. With first born I started reading Wizard and Glass by Stephen King (the 4th Dark Tower book), but stopped halfway. Then end of 2012 I decided I just have to finish it, even if I only read 4 pages every night, and once I started it was easy getting into the habit of reading again.

After finishing that I decided I wanted something a bit lighter to read, and my Mom-in-law gave me a few Tess Gerritsen novels to read. I really enjoy crime novels. So the last book I read was The Silent Girl by Tess Gerritsen. I enjoyed her book Bloodstream a lot more, but it wasn’t a bad story. I didn’t really like that the story was written from the perspective of different people. It was also a Rizzoli novel, but I haven’t read any of the other in the series, so they referenced a lot of things that I didn’t know.

  1. I’ve never heard of that book before. I’m always up for a little light reading though.

  2. If you enjoy crime thrillers I would suggest Bloodstream by Tess Gerritsen.

  3. I LOVE Tess Gerritsen!! I was a huge fan before I had kids, when I could blow through books quickly. She is a fantastic author.

  4. I haven’t read a lot of books in that genre. I really should expand!
