Musings of a working Mom

I like reading lots of different blogs, but there are a few that I like to read regularly. This list is in no particular order.

http://pinkhairgirl.co.za I first read something she wrote on the Women24 website, and then started reading her blog, and I liked the things she wrote. Even though I don’t know her personally it feels like I do as I’ve seen her go through a pregnancy, birth, kiddies parties, a proposal and then a wedding. It is actually kind of weird to be reading about someones life without knowing them.

http://lifeissavage.com/ I found his blog from AndyWandy on Twitter, and he is entertaining and funny. He mostly talks about Cape Town but it’s relevant to anyone in South Africa.

http://hurricanevanessa.com/ This is a strange one for me to like. Vanessa Raphaely is a magazine editor (Cosmo), and I’m not in the least bit interested in fashion, but I love her sense of humour, and she finds some very interesting links on the web.

www.lilblueboo.com Strange enough the only non-South African blog that I regularly read. Can’t remember how I first found her, but she makes the most beautiful things. I’m also a bit obsessed with following her cancer journey, as I really love reading cancer stories with a positive outcome. It is as if I’m countering my brothers cancer death with survival stories.

harassedmom.co.za First saw her on Twitter. I’m reading her blog because she has a little boy the same age as my youngest. Just find her posts interesting.

I also have to give an honourable mention to an Afrikaans blog watkykjy.co.za. “Wat kyk jy?” is an Afrikaans phrase that translates to “What you looking at?”. I usually go to this site on Fridays when I’m fedup of work, and fedup of the week. It is vulgar and offensive, but very funny and just right for putting me in the weekend mood.

Can’t wait to see what the other people are visiting.
