Day 2: Favourite Quotes – 31 Day Blog Challenge

Only day 2 and I almost couldn’t post. First didn’t have internet and then got home late from a kiddies party. Now dealing with two overtired kids that doesn’t want to go to bed.

Back to the favourite quotes:

I love funny quotes more than inspirational ones. Unfortunalety for some of them I don’t know where it originated:

I love giving homemade gifts. Which one of the kids would you like.

Babies are like tattoos. You see other peoples’ & they’re cool, but yours is never as good & you can’t get rid of it.

ARE YOU CARB LOADING FOR A MARATHON?
NO, JUST FOR HAPPINESS.

A rock musician plays three chords to thousands of people and a jazz musician plays thousands of chords to three people – Frank Zappa

They know me in a way no one ever has
They open me to things I never knew existed.
They drive me to insanity and push me to my depths
They are the beat of my heart, the pulse of my veins,
and the energy in my soul
They are my kids

Without music, life would be a mistake. – Friedrich Nietzsche

Then quite a few from The Unbearable Lightness of Being:

In the sunset of dissolution, everything is illuminated by the aura of nostalgia.
• For there is nothing heavier than compassion. Not even one’s own pain weighs so heavy as the pain one feels with someone, for someone, a pain intensified by the imagination and prolonged by a hundred echoes.
• No, vertigo is something other than the fear of falling. It is the voice of emptiness below us which tempts and lures us, it is the desire to fall, against which, terrified, we defend ourselves.
• The brain appears to possess a special area which we might call poetic memory and which records everything that charms or touches us, that makes our lives beautiful.
• Love is the longing for the half of ourselves we have lost.
